A bit about me
Dare to Stand Out
Content is everywhere. We are constantly drowning in it and, to be honest, a lot of it looks and feels the same. The challenge for us marketers is to create something that stands out in this ocean of content. I believe there are two ways to do this:
Funky Marketing:
Funky marketing is all about embracing the unique, the strange, the unusual. It’s about embracing your own brand of crazy. This is easier said than done. It requires a deep understanding of a category - its rules, conventions and methods - so you can turn it on its head and come up with something fresh.
Impact Marketing:
Impact marketing is all about making a difference. It’s about identifying how you can make the world a better place in small or big ways. The world we live in has a lot of issues so whatever category you’re in, there is always something you can do. Find your cause, create with purpose, be a force for good.
My Background
My professional background is in Journalism, Content Writing and Strategy. I apply the skills from those fields in my advertising work. Aside from writing, those skills include research, interviewing, ethical storytelling, problem-solving, collaboration, and calmness in the face of complexity and chaos. The integrity and ethics of Journalism are also an important part of my toolkit.
